Membership

​

​Formal attire is the signature of the Penguin Dinner-Dance Club. Member and guest couples come dressed in their finest to make it an elegant affair: 

Ladies:  long gown, cocktail dress, or elegant pants ensemble.

Men:      dark suit with dress shirt and tie, tuxedo, or dinner jacket. 

 

​Membership is by couples only, however, an individual without a regular dance partner may join the club and list their dance partner as “Other” on the application.

 

Rossmoor residents: we are having a resident membership drive, and there is no charge for you to renew or to become  a member.

Non-resident member couple dues are $120.00 for the full 2026 year. 

 

Annual dues for each calendar year are prorated based on the number of dances remaining in the calendar year.

For example, for a non-resident couple when there are 4 remaining dances, the dues are 4/6 of $120 (or $80).

Your 2026 membership renewal or new membership application and applicable dues payment need to be received before you can get the member rate for our 2026 dinner-dances. 

 

Current Members – Renew Membership for 2026

We are having a resident membership drive. As a convenience to you, your 2026 resident membership has been automatically renewed at no cost. You can opt out of your free 2026 membership by clicking here and notifying our membership team. 

 

Rossmoor Clubs are restricted to a maximum of 20% non-resident members. Consequently, the Penguin Dinner-Dance Club will be opening up our non-resident memberships as we learn how many 2026 resident members we will have. Current non-resident members will be at the top of the list for 2026 non-resident membership. After you have received a 2026 Penguin Dinner-Dance Club membership renewal email. you can renew your membership online (our preferred method) by following the instructions below.  

 

Your 2026 membership renewal and applicable dues payment need to be received before you can get the member rate for our 2026 dinner-dances.

If you already have an online Penguin Dinner-Dance Club account click here: Renew and follow the instructions.

If you have not already created a Penguin Dinner-Dance Club login account, follow these steps – this is a one time thing:

1. Click here to sign up; you will need to establish your own password

2. Complete the form, including the “Requesting Membership” field

   (you are still a Club member – this is just to have your information in our new system)

3. Click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Sign Up form

4. When your website login account has been approved, you will receive an email from PenguinDanceClub@gmail.com, after which you just click on Renew (or in the menu at the top of this web page) to renew your membership

5. If you have not received the above-mentioned email within one week, click here to contact our Membership team

Or if you are unable to pay online, please mail your check to Jacky Poulsen, Membership Chairperson – click here for Jacky's mailing address.

Rossmoor Residents – New Membership Request 

Membership applications are being accepted for Rossmoor residents. 

We are having a resident membership drive and there is no charge for you to renew or to become a member. 

 

Your 2026 new membership application needs to be received before you can get the member rate for our 2026 dinner-dances. 

 

We prefer you request a Penguin Dinner-Dance Club membership online in a few steps. If you have not already created a Penguin Dinner-Dance Club login account, follow these steps – this is a one time thing:

1. Click here to sign up; you will need to establish your own password

2. Complete the form,

   1. if you would like to request membership, be sure to complete the “Requesting Membership” field. This will also allow you to make online reservations for our dinner-dances at the member rate.

   2. if you only want to request a login account to make online reservations for our dinner-dances at the guest rate, leave the “Requesting Membership” field blank. 

3. Click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Sign Up form

4. When your website login account has been approved, you will receive an email from PenguinDanceClub@gmail.com with the disposition of your application  

5. If you have not received the above-mentioned email within one week, click here to contact our Membership team

 

However, if you are unable to submit your new membership request online, Rossmoor residents wishing to join the Club should complete the Membership Application Form and submit it, along with payment, to Jacky Poulsen, Membership Chairperson – her contact information is included on the Application.

 

Non-Rossmoor Residents, New Memberships and Wait List Requests 

Rossmoor Clubs are restricted to a maximum of 20% non-resident members. Consequently, the Penguin Dinner-Dance Club will be opening up our non-resident memberships as we learn how many 2026 resident members we will have.

 

However, non-resident guests can be approved to make online guest reservations for our dinner-dances and waitlisted for membership, if desired.

We prefer you submit a Penguin Dinner-Dance Club wait list request online in a few steps. If you have not already created a Penguin Dinner-Dance Club login account, follow these steps – this is a one time thing:

1. Click here to sign up; you will need to establish your own password

2. Complete the form,

   1. if you would like to request wait list placement, be sure to complete the “Requesting Membership” field

   2. if you only want to request a login account to make online reservations for our dinner-dance, leave the “Requesting Membership” field blank

3. Click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the Sign Up form

4. When your website login account has been approved, you will receive an email from PenguinDanceClub@gmail.com to let you know you have been placed on the waiting list and/or whether or not you can make online dinner-dance reservations

5. If you have not received the above-mentioned email within one week, click here to contact our Membership team

 

However, if you are unable to submit your new membership request online, Non-Rossmoor resident couples wishing to join the Penguin Dinner-Dance Club should send their completed Membership Application Form to Jacky Poulsen, Membership Chairperson – her contact information is included on the Form.
