About Us
Shamrock Ball General Dinner Scene

A wonderful bunch of Penguins

enjoying a delicious dinner at our March Shamrock Ball

The Penguin Dinner-Dance Club of Rossmoor was organized in 1966 by a group of Rossmoor residents who felt the need for a social dinner dance club that would increase the opportunity for developing friends living in this beautiful valley.

Formal attire is the signature of the Penguin Dinner-Dance Club. The organizers decided this social group of dancers should come dressed in their finest to make it an elegant affair.

Ladies:  Formal evening gown, cocktail dress or elegant pant ensemble.

Men:      Tuxedo or dinner jacket with tuxedo trousers, or dark suit.

The club holds six catered formal dinner dances per year with music by a live band. The dances are held in the Fireside room at Gateway. The dance music is ballroom style:  foxtrots, waltzes, swings and Latin dances. Dances are held on the second Saturday of the odd-numbered months (January, March, etc.)
